Who are we? 

We are Elia and Monci, the founders of 1011 Collective and Gendernaut Store. 

In 2025, facing unemployment in Sweden, we decided to come together and start our own business, leaving the corporate world behind to pursue our dream of delivering better clothing to our community - the Trans and Nonbinary Community, in Sweden, the Nordics and Europe. 

Starting from our own experience with navigating clothes as transmasculine and nonbinary people, we engaged our community to build something that could embrace all identities in the gender spectrum. 

We have grounded our business with our values: safety, sustainability and ethics. Guided by these, we worked to deliver better gender affirming clothes to our community.

What is Gendernaut Store? 

Gendernaut Store is a Swedish-based online store delivering selected and curated gender affirming clothes to the queer community. We select partners that work with high social and environmental sustainability - prioritising fair labour practices that give employment to our community, select their materials prioritising safe, comfortable and sustainable options. 

Amongst their products, we have brought those that are most loved by the community making sure they are safe to use. 

We need your support! 

Starting a small business when you are unemployed (and not a born in wealth 😭) is of course challenging, even more because our business model doesn’t prioritise profit above all else. 

We have been working to get support for our startup, through government support and bank loans, and while the first delivered, the second was a disappointment. 

However, we didn’t give up, and refused to compromise on our values and principles: people and the planet before everything else.

What can you help us with?

Business expenses: 

• ✅ Fees: Business registration, insurance

• Services: Paying for shopify, work accounts, design tools and the services that keep us operating and safe. 

• Tools & Equipment: Laptops, phones, sim cards, sewing equipment

• Stock: building our initial stock to ensure that the essential products are always available

• Storage: renting a storage unit 

• Salaries: We won’t take salaries until the beginning of 2027; afterwards we will need them to keep working on this project and involve other people for collaborations and services (photographers, models, developers, help with transportation)

Projects: 

• Mending: Every month we host a free mending workshop in Stockholm. You can help us deliver more and better workshops, help with the material expenses and give us the opportunity of making more specialised ones. 

Coming Projects

• Circular Projects: Collecting and distributing used garments (for free); donating garments to those who can’t afford them. 

• Expanding our products: Finding new products, testing them in the market and increasing the stock.
